If you already believe — take this and go further. Let it wreck your comfortable theology. Let it remind you that the gospel was never meant to be kept clean and hidden. It was meant to be carried into the darkest rooms and left there, boldly, like a fire that doesn't ask permission to spread.

If you don't believe — I am not asking you to agree with me today.

I am only asking you to look.

Look at the faces in the paintings. The ones that look like they have seen too much and survived too little. The ones that look, if you're honest, a little like yours.

And consider the possibility — just the possibility — that the light you see breaking through the darkness in this work is not a metaphor.

That it is the oldest, truest, most audacious claim ever made:

That a dead man walked out of a grave.

And that He is coming for yours next.

There is hope.

It has a name.

And it has never lost anyone it came for.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

I would love to talk to you. I want to hear your thoughts and experiences.

What I want you to take away...
